If you're looking to edit and/or assign a spine point to an employees position, the Edit Employee form is the place to do it.
In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps of using the Pay Spine form within the Edit Employee feature. By following these instructions, you'll be able to effectively manage your employee's position and pay them accurately. Let's get started!
To edit spine points
- Sign in to Cintra Cloud - Payroll. The payroll's details appear.
- Navigate to the Employees' tile.
- Find the employee whose position you wish to update and click the three dots to the right of their name. A drop-down menu appears.
- Select Edit Employee. The employee's Edit Employee page appears.

Click Position detail in left-hand side menu. Here, you'll see the employee's current position details, such as position and pay grade.

Click Edit on the relevant position. The Edit Position Detail form appears.
- Find the spine point you wish to edit and click the Pencil icon next to it. The Edit Position Spine Point form appears.

Make the necessary changes.

Click the Save & Continue button when you're done. That's it! You've successfully edited an employee’s spine point.
To assign spine points
- Sign in to Cintra Cloud - Payroll. The payroll's details appear.
- Navigate to the Employees' tile.
- Find the employee whose position you wish to update and click the three dots to the right of their name. A drop-down menu appears.
- Select Edit Employee. The employee's Edit Employee page appears.

Click Position detail in left-hand side menu. Here, you'll see the employee's current position details, such as position and pay grade.

Click Edit on the relevant position. The Edit Position Detail form appears.
- In the Pay Spine section, click + ADD NEW. The Add Position Spine Point form appears.
- Enter the relevant information.
- Click the Save & Continue button when you are done. That's it! You've successfully assigned a spine point to your employee.
