How do I attach and edit work patterns to employees using positions?

Modified on Sat, 7 Dec, 2024 at 5:55 PM

Work Patterns are used to define the days or part days of the working week that are standard working days for an employee or a position. They can be used to define the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of an employee, which can be used to pro-rate salary and/or additional payments or allowances.

They are also used to enable accurate reporting of employee absence, which can be related to such payments as Occupational Pay and Statutory Sick Pay.

To attach a work pattern

Attaching a work pattern to an employee in Cintra Cloud is super easy! When you assign a position to an employee, a working pattern is automatically assigned. But, if you need to edit an existing work pattern or assign a new one, just follow these steps:

Step One - Edit an existing work pattern:

    1. Navigate to the employee's Edit Employee Form form.

    2. Click the Working patterns link in the menu.

    3. Locate the working pattern you want to update and click the pencil edit button.

    4. Make any necessary changes in the Edit work pattern form.

    5. Click the Save & Continue button.

Important:

Just keep in mind that changing working patterns can impact an employee's pay, so it's important to double-check everything!

Step Two - Assign a new work pattern:

  1. Navigate to the employee's Edit Employee Form form.

  2. Click the Working patterns link in the menu.

  3. Click the Add New button.

  4. Fill in the Add work pattern details form as necessary.

  5. Click the Save & Continue button.

Important:

Remember, changes to working patterns can impact pay, so be sure to review all changes carefully. Let us know if you have any questions!
