How do I delete import mapping templates?

Modified on Fri, 24 Oct at 9:57 AM

Cintra iQ provides a Data Import feature allowing the import of data. This can range from the initial loading of data required to set the system up, to updating salary payments once a year.
When importing data, there are certain fields that are mandatory to identifying a record for update, and certain fields which are mandatory for inserting a new record.
In general, when importing data, if an existing record can be identified for update, then it will be updated. If an existing record cannot be identified, then an attempt will be made to insert a new record.

When you import files, you can create a mapping template so that you can reuse the saved column mappings at a later date. This is so you do not have to repopulate the Destination (database) columns each time you want to perform an import.

To access template mappings

  1. Navigate to the Import File window.
Go to Cintra iQ: File> Import> Data Import
  2. Click the Ellipse button next to File Import Mapping drop down list. The Import File Mappings window appears.
  3. Highlight the desired template and right click. The Delete option appears.
  4. Click Delete. A message appears asking you to confirm the deletion.
  5. Click  the Yes button. The template is deleted from the Import File Mapping window.
  6. Click the OK button. You are returned to the Import File window.
