Bureau User Management

This topic describes how you can add new or edit existing bureau users, as well as impersonate other Cintra People users. Once you've added your users, you can also add them into teams

Managing bureau users:

  1. Within the side menu of Cintra People, click Bureau users.
  2. From the list of bureau users, click any name to edit it, or click the Create User button.


Creating/editing users


For each bureau user, enter the following information:

  1. You must enter a forename, surname, email address, and mobile number.
    • Email address: The user will receive password resets and notifications to this address
    • Mobile number: This number is used for authentication and urgent communications.
  2. Select user roles: Choose one or more roles for the user:

  • Bureau Manager: This user has the capability to create and manage teams, assign organisations, and allocate users. Additionally, they will have full access to all organisation payrolls. They can also access the Bank Portal.
  • Team Leader: This user can also manage teams, assign organisations, and have full access to all organisation payrolls . However, unlike bureau managers, they cannot add, edit, or delete user accounts, nor can they access the Bank Portal.
  • Bureau User: This user will have restricted access to organisations assigned by Bureau Manager.
  • BACS Scheduler: Can only access bank files.
  • Bureau Reports Access: Can only generate, view, and download reports.
  1. Impersonation: Users with  the role of Bureau Manager, Bureau User, or Bureau Reports Access can be assigned the additional Impersonation role.  This will let them impersonate Payroll and/or Employee Hub users.
  2. Click Save. Your new user is added to Cintra People and should receive an email inviting them to set up their account. 


Impersonating another Payroll or Employee Hub user

Bureau Managers. Bureau Users and Team Leaders with the Impersonation permission can log in as other users to view what they see. 


To impersonate another user:

  1. Click the Payroll tab in the main menu.
  2. In the side menu, click Manage users.
  3. Click either the Employee hub users or Payroll access users tab.
  4. From the list of users, click theicon beside the user you want to log in as.
  5. You will now be able to view any information or perform any actions that the user you are impersonating can perform. 


To end the impersonation, click the user's name at the top-right of the screen, then click End Impersonation.
