How do I export categories?

Within Capture Expense, you can export a template which contains the Category data, for reporting purposes. You can also use the exported headers as the template for importing new information.
 

To export category data

  1. Navigate to the Categories page. A list of pre-defined categories appear.
    Go to Setup> Overview> Expense Categories or Setup> Categories
  2. Select Export from the Action menu.

  3. Follow the instructions.
  4. Perform either of the following:
    • Deselect the Include data...  option. The template will only contain the column headers. This is useful if you wish to import new Category data into Capture Expense.

    • Select the Include data...  option. The Categories' data is exported.

  5. Click the Download button. The template is downloaded to your local drive.
