When do I submit a MCR return?
From October 2021, the Monthly Contributions Reconciliation process will be the only method to submit service, salary and contribution information to Teachers' Pension. Your MCR files must be submitted by the 15th of every month, but if your submission in a particular month is late due to warning errors, it will still be accepted until the 3rd of the following month.
If the 15th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you must submit the return on the last working day. For more information about MCR, visit the Teachers' Pension website: https://www.teacherspensions.co.uk/
What is the MCR return format?
A MCR submission needs to be returned to Teacher's Pensions via the Employer Portal as a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file.
