Cintra iQ allows for the recording of absences on the employee calendar. These absences can either have an associated entitlement, or can be recorded without an entitlement.
Absence Events
Absence Events can be holidays, where the business may have rules regarding the number of days that an employee is entitled to as holiday and want to monitor the number of days taken and remaining. Alternatively, child sickness, where there is no entitlement but the business will allow time to be taken with or without payment, and wish to record it separately.
When a left date is entered for an employee, you need to open the employee's entitlement record to update the entitlement to reflect the leaving date.
To calculate the leaver's absence entitlement
- Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record> Forms> Absence Allowances. The Attendance/Entitlement window appears.
- Navigate to the Entitlements tab.
- Select the desired category.
- In the Entitlements pane, double-click the current entitlement record. The Absence Allowance form appears.
- Enter the Allowance Available To date.
- Click the Calculate Allowance button to calculate the entitlement values as at leaving date. The fields will include the total entitlement as at leaving date, the entitlement used as at leaving date and the entitlement remaining/over taken as at leaving date.
- Click the OK button.
