How to Create a Trip

Trips can be used when items you are claiming for are subject to rules regarding time and value rates.

From the Expenses menu item, click on New Trip button

Give the Trip a Name. Set the Start Date and Time and the End Date and Time.

Add a Description

Use the Subsistence Rate drop-down list to select the appropriate rate.

Note: the Subsistence Rate drop-down will only be displayed if there is more than one company rate to choose from.

Enter the Journey Start address and Journey End address

Notes:

You can add waypoints if required.

You can Favourite an address using the Star icon in the Journey Information field and name it, e.g. office, home. The Favourites will then appear as a drop down list for you to select from.

On the map – you can alter your journey by dragging the blue line of the route to e.g. account for a diversion

Save

Alternatively, you can create a Trip from your expense claim by clicking in the field Trip and pressing the +Add Trip button

Note: you can Edit your Trip using the pen and paper icon on the right side of the Trip field
