Within Cintra iQ, you can create a Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) claim for an employee who is going on maternity leave. This includes
- Setting up Maternity Pay details
- Creating a Maternity Payment Schedule
Before you begin to set up a Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) claim, you must create a Maternity Leave calendar event. The Calendar of Events is the core control record for each employee which will hold all periods of absence.
Within the SMP claim, you can calculate the weeks for maternity payment.
To calculate the weeks
- Navigate to the Maternity Pay tab.
Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record> Forms> Parental Payments - Open the desired record. The SMP Claim window appears.
- Select the Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) tab.
- Click the MPP Weeks button. The MPP Weeks window appears.
- Click the Calculate Weeks button. The break down of the weekly payments appear in the Weeks in Maternity Pay Period (MPP). The summary record on the Maternity Pay tab will show the current YTD information.
