How do I create a new starter statement?

As part of the RTI (Real Time Information) process, you must complete a new starter statement for all new starters who have P45 details and for those starters who do not.
 

To create a new statement for employees who have P45 details

  1. Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Records> Tax and NI >Tax tab.
  2. Right-click New in the Tax Code History pane. The New Tax Coding form appears.
  3. Select the New Employee (P45 Details) coding type. 
  4. Click the Next button. The New Employee (P45 Details) form appears. 
  5. Enter the Previous Employment Details.
  6. Enter the New Employment Details.
  7. Click the Declarations button. The P45 Declaration for Employee form appears.
  8. Select the appropriate Employee circumstance.
  9. Click the OK button. The tax code record appears in the Tax Code History pane of the Tax tab.
     

      Note:

    If applicable, you can repress a tax rebate by clicking the Tax Rebates button on the Tax_NI Details window. 

 

To create a new statement for employees who do not have P45 details

  1. Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Records> Tax and NI >Tax tab. 
  2. Right-click New in the Tax Code History pane. The New Tax Coding form appears. 
  3. Select the New Employee (No P45 Details) coding type. 
  4. Click the Next button. The New Employee (No P45 Details) form appears. 
  5. Determine who completed the form.
      • Employee: The declaration information is filled in, based on what the employee has given the employer.
      • Employer: This declaration is filled in by employer when no employee information is available.
  6. Select the Employee circumstances, if you are the employee . 
  7. Enter the the Student Loan details, if applicable.
  8. Enter the Declaration Date.
  9. Click the OK button. The tax code record appears in the Tax Code History pane of the Tax tab.

      Note:

    If applicable, you can repress a tax rebate by clicking the Tax Rebates button on the Tax_NI Details window.
